On April 16, a public lecture by Mykola Hlibishchuk, Candidate of Historical Sciences and leading researcher at the Department of Recent History of the Region, took place at the Chernivtsi Regional Museum of Local Lore. titled «WOMEN DURING THE FIRST WORLD WAR: THE UKRAINIAN CONTEXT».

In his presentation, M. Hlibishchuk focused on the female experience during the 1914–1918 global conflict and the challenges Ukrainian women faced at that time. Emphasis was placed on the participation of Ukrainian women in military formations during the Great War of 1914–1918, their cultural and educational activities during the war years, women's epistolary heritage, and so on. Parallels were also drawn with the characteristic features of studying women's war experiences in Western and Ukrainian historical science, highlighting their similar and distinct traits. After the presentation, a discussion of the lecture took place, and all attendees had the opportunity to ask questions.
