The lecture is dedicated to the complex political relations between the Moldavian Voivodeship and the Ottoman Empire in the second half of the 15th century. Particular attention is paid to the war of Sultan Mehmed II the Conqueror with hospodar Stephen III the Great in 1474-1480 years. Various aspects related to the Battle of Vaslui in 1475 whose 550th anniversary is celebrated in 2025, were specifically examined.
