The exhibition presents the achievements of Bukovynians in the field of culture in the second
half of the 20th century – the beginning of the 21st century:
- development of fiction
(exhibiting publications of works by such masters of words as I. Vilde, M. Ivasiuk,
V. Kozhelianko, H. Tarasiuk, M. Tkach, V. Kolodii, T. Severniuk, M. Matios, V. Vozniuk,
H. Dushchak, M. Liutyk, Y. Burg and other writers of the region who wrote
in Ukrainian, Romanian, Russian, and Jewish languages);
- theatrical life of the region,
represented by the stage activities of the Chernivtsi Regional Academic
Music and Drama Theatre named after O. Kobylianska and the Chernivtsi Regional
Academic Puppet Theatre;
- cinematography (the
creative career of the famous actor and director I. Mykolaichuk, who excelled in
the films "Dream", "Shadows of Forgotten Ancestors", "The Stone Cross", "The White Bird Marked with Black",
"Babylon XX" and others; over 100 feature films were shot in the Chernivtsi
region during the second half of the 20th century);
- the diversity of the region's musical
art is represented by the activities of creative vocal ensembles,
vocal-instrumental ensembles, solo performers, and composers (Chernivtsi Regional Philharmonic named after D. Hnatiuk and the world-renowned
Bukovynian Song and Dance Ensemble named after A. Kushnirenko associated with it; VIA "Smerichka", with
which the creative careers of V. Zinkevych, N. Yaremchuk, S. Rotaru,
P. Dvorskyi, L. Dutkivskyi, V. Ivasiuk and others are associated; vocal duos
"Pysanka", "Skrynia"; performers A. Shkurhan, D. Hnatiuk, I. Derda;
composers S. Sabadash, Y. Hina, L. Zatulovskyi, V. Ivasiuk and
a number of other star names);
- fine art
(the works of K. Dzerzhyk, I. Kholomeniuk, A. Kholomeniuk, O. Kyselytsia,
O. Liubkivskyi, O. Kryvoruchko, R. Lekalov, V. Sanzharov,
N. Yarmolchuk, O. Harmydera and others).
- decorative and applied
art (works by V. Hamal, I. Salevych, B. Shebriakov,
Y. Zhovnirovskyi, H. Korzhovyi, M. Firchuk and others).
