The opening of the regional exhibition-competition "New Year's Composition" turned into a true celebration of creativity and knowledge about Christmas and New Year's traditions, the importance of preserving coniferous plants, and the search for alternative Christmas and New Year decorations.

A celebration for children and adults at #ChOKM was organised by the staff of the Communal Establishment Chernivtsi Regional Centre for Ecological and Naturalistic Creativity for Student Youth with the assistance of the Department of Education and Science of the Chernivtsi Regional State Administration. At the grand opening, welcoming speeches to the guests were delivered by Liudmyla Holovchenko, Director of the Ecological and Naturalistic Centre; Oksana Rotar, Acting Director of ChOKM; Yuliia Hlibishchuk, Chief Specialist of the Department of Preschool, General Secondary, Out-of-School, Inclusive Education and Digital Transformation of the Department of Education and Science; and Vasyl Kamenetskyi, Deputy Head of the Department of Ecology and Natural Resources Management.

A musical gift for the event's guests was a performance by the children's ensemble "Only together" from the City Palace of Children and Youth. The children were also genuinely delighted and engaged by an educational quiz about interesting facts of Christmas and New Year celebrations in various parts of the world. And to conclude, everyone interested could join the "Gift to a Soldier" campaign to create a small wonder at the master class – felt figurines of a Christmas gnome or a small house for our valiant defenders.
