Easter Miracle

14.04.2026 10:01

From April 14 to 30, the Chernivtsi Regional Museum of Local Lore will host an exhibition of pysanky, icons, and paintings “Easter Miracle”. The exhibition features works by Nataliia Ruda – an artist, pysanka master, and writer, who harmoniously combines various facets of her creativity.

Nataliia Ruda was born in Berehomet, in the Vyzhnytsia region, where her interest in pysanka art began. She first decorated a pysanka at the age of 13, guided by master craftswoman Mariia Hrab. Today, Ms. Nataliia herself guides others into creativity that inspires and heals the souls of many.

Currently, the artist's creative output includes over 200 pysanky, 20 icons, and 30 paintings, radiating warmth, faith, and sincere love for Ukrainian culture.

The special light emanating from Nataliia Ruda's works is born from the depths of her soul – sincere, open, and full of love for the world. Each pysanka, icon, or painting conveys a quiet prayer, inner peace, and faith that can warm the viewer's heart. Her art is not just about beauty, but about light conquering darkness, about hope reborn time and again, like the Easter miracle itself.

The pysanky presented at the exhibition are created on ostrich, duck, chicken, and quail eggs. The pysanka series feature various motifs – Trypillian ornaments, ancient cosmological concepts, and symbols of Christian tradition. The exhibition will also feature icons, rushnyky (embroidered towels), and paintings.

Nataliia Ruda's pysanky and books are preserved in the Pysanka Museum in Kolomyia, in Antarctica at the Akademik Vernadsky research station, in the USA, England, Canada, Lithuania, Japan, Romania, Italy, Spain, UAE Dubai, and many other countries.

We invite you to visit the exhibition “Easter Miracle”, which  offers a sense of harmony and spiritual balance, conveying the inner world and spiritual richness of its author.
