Bat Week at the Museum of Local Lore

This year, October at the #CHOM concluded with a real week of bats. Over 100 students from educational institutions in the city and region visited the activities of our museum's Nature Workshop during their autumn holidays. They took part in the "Bat Night at the Local Lore Museum" master class.

Our visitors learned about the characteristics of bats, examined exhibits at the temporary exhibition "Bats of Bukovina", marvelled at 10 incredible facts about the lives of these amazing creatures, and also made felt bats with their own hands.

In addition, the children had the opportunity to debunk common myths about these flying creatures or confirm their knowledge. And they learned that bats are not only not scary, but also very cute.
