Every year on February 20, Ukraine observes the Day of the Heavenly Hundred Heroes. On this day, we honour the memory of those who died during the Revolution of Dignity in the struggle for human rights and freedoms, democratic values, and a worthy European future for our country.

On this occasion, in the exhibition hall of #CHOKM "In Defence of Freedom", the head of the department of modern history of the region, Candidate of Historical Sciences Tetiana Minaieva, conducted a history lesson for 10th-grade students of Chernivtsi Lyceum No. 1.

During the event, they discussed the prerequisites and key events of the Revolution of Dignity, the national consciousness and civic responsibility of the Ukrainian people, examples of resilience and sacrifice shown by the Heavenly Hundred Heroes for the realization of our right to a free future, the beginning of Russian armed aggression against Ukraine, and the incredible steadfastness demonstrated by Ukrainians during this difficult and tragic time. The bloody sacrifice of the Heavenly Hundred Heroes and all those who died during the Russian-Ukrainian war changed the public consciousness of Ukrainians, actualizing the significance of concepts such as the right to self-determination, dignity, freedom, democracy, European choice, sovereignty, and unity of the state. The memory of these fighters for Ukraine helps to foster an understanding of each citizen's responsibility for our shared future.
