On March 26, Andriy Fedoruk, Candidate of Historical Sciences and leading researcher at the Department of Archaeology, Medieval History, and Modern History of the Region, delivered a public lecture titled "Our Region in the Geopolitics of Great European Powers" at the Chernivtsi Regional Museum of Local Lore. The lecture commemorated the 340th anniversary of the Holy League's formation. Attendees learned about historical events that took place in our region at the end of the 17th century and their impact on the political life of Central and Eastern European states. In his lecture, the scholar provided a profound assessment of these events against the backdrop of contemporary political processes and drew parallels, connecting them with present-day occurrences.
Attendees had the opportunity to ask questions and receive comprehensive answers from the lecturer. The audience's interest in the events discussed in the lecture prompted Andriy Fedoruk to explore new research topics.
