THE WORD THAT REMAINS IN THE HEART

July 26 marks the 85th anniversary of Bukovynian poet, publicist, and literary scholar Tamara Severyniuk.

Her work is an important part of Ukrainian literary heritage, combining deep lyricism, sincere love for her native land, and unwavering devotion to the Ukrainian word.

Her poetry is a special music that penetrates the soul from the first lines. She knows how to speak simply about complex things: about pain, love, the land, and the people who inspire. It is from here, from Bukovyna, that her poetry draws a deep love for the land, the Ukrainian word, and history.

The poet's work remains relevant today, as a reminder of the power of the word, its ability to change consciousness and inspire generations.

Her poems often become a source of inspiration for contemporary artists, and the images from her works are so vivid that one wants to share them with everyone.

To mark the anniversary, an exhibition titled 'Tamara Severyniuk's Anniversary Retrospective' has opened within the walls of the Chernivtsi Regional Museum of Local Lore, dedicated to the poet whose lines smell of Bukovynian gardens, rustle with poplars, and echo in the heart of everyone who loves Ukraine.

The exhibition introduces visitors to unique materials. Among the exhibits are photographs, books with dedicatory inscriptions, awards, diplomas, postcards with the poet's verses and illustrations by artist Natalia Yarmolchuk, and paintings gifted to Ms. Tamara by artists Ivan Kholomenyuk and Natalia Yarmolchuk. This is not just an exhibition – it is a journey into Tamara Severyniuk's creative and life world spanning 85 years.

"And every word is like a nail in the heart...", – thus writes Tamara Severyniuk. And indeed, her word is precise, accurate, and leaves an indelible mark.

The exhibition will run until August 15.
