Every year on the third Wednesday of January, Museum Selfie Day is celebrated worldwide.
On this day, visitors take photos in museums next to the exhibits that most interested them, and share their photos on social media with the hashtags #MuseumSelfie and/or #MuseumSelfieDay.
The Chernivtsi Regional Museum of Local Lore and its branches – the Chernivtsi Literary-Memorial Museum of Olga Kobylianska, the Literary-Memorial Museum of Yuriy Fedkovych – offer many atmospheric locations and antique exhibits for a great photo.
We invite you to visit the CRML or its branches to join the flashmob.
Post your photos on your Facebook or Instagram page on January 17, 2024, with the mandatory hashtag #SelfieRegmusCv2024.
Authors of the most original photos will receive as a gift the photo album «64 Secrets from the Museum Treasury» and the book «In the Lace of a Waltz. Secular Life in Bukovina (1848-1918)». The CRML will announce the winners on January 18.
Since the museum is closed to visitors on Wednesday, you can take a selfie by visiting the exhibitions beforehand.
