On April 24 at 10:00 AM, a round table discussion titled 'Chornobyl – the Pain of Generations' will take place at the Chernivtsi Regional Museum of Local Lore, dedicated to the tragedy that occurred 40 years ago.

The accident at the Chornobyl NPP became not only an ecological and man-made disaster but also a deep trauma that left a profound mark on the destinies of many generations. During the event, we will discuss the preconditions and consequences of the tragedy, population evacuation, the experience of liquidators, and the understanding of this event in the memoirs of eyewitnesses and the research of scientists.

Speakers of the discussion will be:

·         - Ihor Piddubny – Doctor of Historical Sciences, Associate Professor of the Department of World History at Yuriy Fedkovych Chernivtsi National University, leading research fellow at the Chernivtsi Regional Museum of Local Lore;

·         -  Mykola Hlibishchuk – Candidate of Historical Sciences, Assistant Professor of the Department of World History at Yuriy Fedkovych Chernivtsi National University, leading research fellow at the Chernivtsi Regional Museum of Local Lore;

·         - Taras Kovalets – Candidate of Historical Sciences, Assistant Professor of the Department of History of Ukraine at Yuriy Fedkovych Chernivtsi National University.
