In the history of the Carpatho-Danubian region, there are many events that significantly influenced the further fate of Bukovina. One of them took place 570 years ago. What was this historical event? Who were its participants? Why did it acquire pan-European significance and what does it have to do with the tradition of the daily midday ringing of church bells?

You can find the answers to these and many other questions on July 23, by attending a public lecture by Andrii Fedoruk, Candidate of Historical Sciences, leading researcher at the Department of Archeology, Medieval History and Modern History of the Chernivtsi Regional Museum of Local Lore. The lecture is titled "Belgrade-1456, or why church bells ring every day at noon in all churches of Europe?"
